Rules:
It starts by determining the order of play. Each player throws one die; the high score goes first and so on down the die scale. The low scorer re-rolls the die one time. The number then rolled becomes the "point number" for the game. Now, the first player throws three dice. Scoring one point for each "point number" that is rolled. The first player continues to throw until a "point number" fails to come up. The dice now pass to the next player. Each player drops out of the game when a total of 15 points is reached (the number may be modified for quicker, or longer games). The remaining player is saddled with the bill for the night's festivities.
Optional Rules:
  • If a player throws three of a kind--not "point numbers"--a "Little Buck" is scored. A "Little Buck" is worth 5 points and the player immediately retires from the game.
  • The final point must be achieved exactly. If the player overscores on a throw (meaning the score exceeds 15), the throw does not count, and the player stays in the game. The exception, of course, would be throwing a "Little Buck."

This game was often played by socialites to determine who would pay for the evenings entertainment.

There are eleven rounds numbered 2 -12. In each round the player tries to roll and score the number of the round, the numbers being the combinations possible with 2 dice.

If a player throws the correct number for that round they score 1 point. If they throw any other number they don’t score. The highest total after 11 rounds wins the game.

Rules:
One player--chosen at random--goes first and becomes the "shooter". The next shooter is the player immediately to the left, and turns are taken around the table or circle in that order. Unlike other, more structured games, players may come and go as they choose. Players place their bets on the table. The shooter may "cover" (place an equal amount) any or all bets. The shooter now throws the dice. If, on his first roll, he scores an 11 or a 7, this is called a Natural, and the shooter wins all stakes on the table.. If the shooter, throws a 2, 3 or 12, he "craps out" and loses anything wagered. Any other number is known as a "point." In this case, the shooter continues to cast the dice until he scores the "point," at which time the shooter collects all winnings on the table. If a 7 is thrown first, the shooter loses all wagers and the other players win their covered bets. The next player becomes the shooter, now. although it is common for players to refuse their turn and continue to pass the dice to the left.

Very probably, the best known of all dice games. It's enduring popularity is likely due to its fast paced action and the vast array of betting combinations offered to the players of this well-known game.
